The Current Boat
About this time last year, we purchased a new Glacier Bay 2690 Catamaran 2690. We had been looking for a boat that was;
- trailerable
- could take heavy seas
- could cruise economically
- but was fast when needed
- and that could accomadate two adults comfortable on longer cruises
We had been doing our research for a couple of years and finally settled on a Glacier Bay Catamaran. The boat is all we expected and more. It has successfuly met our “brief” and we are looking forward to enjoying it for many years.
The boats are manufactured in the state of Washington and we were fortunate enough to be able to buy it from a local dealer, who has become a good friend.
It’s the start of a new boating season in Michigan and I expect to share more of our adventures on this blog for the 2007 boating season. I may also post some of last year’s fun.
