Learning to Blog – The Beginning

I am passing beyond the place of just setting up a blog and am starting on my blogging adventure.  I will be open and at ease with this and start on a broad basis and just see where this takes me.  The first resource (other than the WordPress site) is the Blogging for CEO’s site.

Beginning Again

I had lost my username and my password. Was able to get the info I needed from support so I am able to begin again to post to my blog.  I am simply going to post as I feel like it with the knowledge that the key is to post on a consistent basis.  I will let the blog evolve into something that interests me and will be open to whatever direction it takes.

Learning About Email Marketing

I am now starting to seriously explore the process of e-mail marketing.  I have done a good deal of research on e-mail programs and auto responder programs.  I believe I am not play that it is time to take action toward developing something of an e-mail program.

I may simply start by making a combination of a further development of this blog, along with putting together a basic newsletter format.  Perhaps the initial e-mail marketing experience will be to begin the use of the e-mail program and see if I can develop some ongoing contacts and subscribers.  The objective would be to use the e-mail marketing to send them to my blog and to encourage them to sign up for my newsletter.

I am trying to keep my perfectionism out of the way and know that these initial efforts will be sophomore at best.  I would appreciate any feedback regarding this effort.

Using Dragon Naturally Speaking

I am dictating this directly into my Toshiba tablet PC.  I’m using Dragon NaturallySpeaking.

my plan is to utilize this tool more often so that I can do a better job of quickly capturing different thoughts and ideas.  Also it is a great tool for writing my drafts for journal entries as well as entries into this blog.

If anyone has significant experience using the Dragon Naturally Speaking software in their writing, I’d appreciate hearing any thoughts and ideas that they might have in that regard.  Also any tips on the use of the software would be greatly appreciated.

Not Sure How the Blogging Stuff works…

I am not sure how this blogging stuff works but I’ve come to the immediate conclusion that the only way to find out is to just start doing it.  It looks like I’m able to write a blog and then enter it into the site, that is published it.  But then I don’t know what comes of it, or how to access it the Internet.

I will try to see if I can bring it up in the Internet after publishing the sentry.
